How These Can Expedite File Closure

This session will present a solution for managing injured workers' prolonged inactivity when light duty restrictions are not accommodated by their employer. The Transitional Return to Work Program provides workers with engagement in real and simulated job activities make a valuable contribution to non-profits. The presentation will demonstrate the cost effectiveness of TRTW as another tool to move claims to successful resolution through outcome data and case studies.

From1986 to the present, Jim Stubbe has been Co-Owner, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Stubbe & Associates, Inc., a firm providing medical case management and vocational rehabilitation services to injured and disabled individuals.Jim has worked to successfully build Stubbe & Associates into a national coverage firm.

Kari Brustad

Transitional Return to Work Coordinator - Stubbe & Associates, Inc.

Kari has been providing job placement services in Minnesota since 1994; joining Stubbe & Associates in 1998. A Vocational & Placement Specialist, she has an extensive background in providing all aspects of return to work services for injured workers, including her development and leadership role with the TRTW Program. The TRTW Program currently raves a 97.9% success rate, with placements and organization partnerships nationwide.
Kari’s skill set also expands to vocational testing, assessments, transferable skills analysis and job placement services, including job seeking skills, job development, resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, and mock interviewing for clients receiving workers’ compensation, long term disability, and state funded benefits. In addition, Kari has conducted on-site job analysis, labor market surveys, and assisted in developing successful retraining programs.
Kari provides vocational services nationally. Locally, Kari covers field cases in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Twin Cities Metro, surrounding suburbs, northern & central Minnesota, as well as western Wisconsin.
